It’s been a true joy to work on this.
I have been a fan of Roxanne First for years, having bought my first piece around six years ago. This collaboration has just been organic & beautiful. RF are an independent, female founded & run jewellery brand based in London. I have a real passion for independent jewellery brands. I love the craftsmanship & dedication that goes into making jewellery and adore that pieces can last a lifetime.
I feel there are feelings, meanings & connections we can put into jewellery, & that jewellery can naturally carry. I wear the wedding rings of my parents everyday & they have such meaning to me. Equally, I may purchase a piece of jewellery to symbolise something monumental…It’s also just so ridiculously beautiful & I’m an absolute magpie for it.
Rocky & I began serious work on this in May of this year, & after settling on the concept of donuts, the fun really began. Cue 6,484* voice notes, 7,459* messages to get this ready to launch.
From the incredible attention to detail on the pieces themselves (may I add, they have a delightful weight to them) to the excellent donut-box packaging (complete with film & donut-sugar-paper wrapping)…it’s been so fulfilling seeing this come together. Each item comes in an iconic RF velvet heart shaped box, wrapped inside the sugar-paper & inside the SWEET TOOTH donut box. Each order also ships with ST donut sticker packs (feat. Gary ofc, who I got tattooed on me at the event – we like dedication over here).
We launched the collection this week on October 23rd with an event in store, complete with mountains of donuts ofc. The limited collection is online & ready to shop now, with worldwide shipping. Each piece is lovingly made to order & will be available to order until November 21st.
Stand-outs for me are the Rainbow Sprinkle Ring & Raspberry Glazed Donut Pendant: although admittedly it’s a tough call.
