BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE PREMIERE

This is the most excited I have been about a movie in years.

Granted, there’s been films I have enjoyed over the past few years – but a new Beetlejuice is another level. As an avid fan of the original, I squealed with absolute joy when the invite came from Warner Bros to attend the BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE premiere in London. The first time an invite has ever come direct from a picture-house to me – and with a plus one, to bring along the BFF? A big deal, and one I am hugely thankful for.

Within minutes, I had reached out to Atsuko Kudo, hair stylists, photographers, my closest friends. Red carpets can be daunting, especially when you are arranging everything yourself – everything from my look, to how I am going to get there & safely home, is actioned by myself.

Atsuko Kudo made my dress. An independent London based & female run brand, they make the most beautiful latex couture. The AK team were as amazing as ever, and following back & forth on emails, phone calls & voice notes: we got to the vision I had in my had.

For this premiere: it just HAD to be latex.

The dress was completely custom made: with a white silhouette trim to the tulip bust, ‘v’ shaping detail and puff sleeves. For drama and to create the major silhouette that I was seeking, we added a long black train: this was tied around my waist (see the full GRWM). Over the train, we added a black & white striped corset (waspie) – giving that necessary nod to the icon himself (Beetlejuice, need I say?) & cinching in the waist further.
