RECENTLY

It’s been a moment since I added a post filled with some recent looks, items I’ve been loving, and items I’m coveting…So without further ado, let’s get into it.

Oh, the Hermes Birkin.

After many years of it being the ultimate wish-list bag, I purchased mine pre-loved via Break Archive around two years ago. I’m not into the Hermes-game life.

It remains one of my absolute hero items (thank goodness with that price tag) for many reasons. It’s roomy, useable, beautifully made & just a joy to hold. It’s timeless. I’m certainly in the ‘Jane Birkin’ way of using the bag – I prefer it with casual outfits, with slouch & grainy leather. Mine is a 30 in Black Togo Leather with Palladium hardware. It’s a great autumn-winter/forever & ever number.

SHOP THE BAG:

I’ve been drawn back to black (shocking) as the days get darker.

I mean, ofc I’m always drawn to black, but I’ve been loving it paired with burgundy & denim recently.

This dress from last year layers so well & is so versatile. The jersey is super drape-y & comfortable. I added a hoodie layer here & upped the structure with that major Saint Laurent leather.

SHOP THE LOOK & SIMILAR ITEMS:

Gimme an excellent band tee any day of the week.

Paper-thin vintage will forever be my treasure, but I recently spied this Nick Cave tee & THIS NIN sweatshirt: add.to.cart. They’ve [H&M/whomever working there that got these over the line] actually done a solid on both items, with distressing to the Nick Cave tee collar & more of a marbled, not-quite-midnight-black for an added vintage-esque feel. Can’t recommend the Nine Inch Nails sweatshirt enough too btw – I bought two in the end, it’s THAT good.

SHOP THE LOOK & SIMILAR ITEMS:

Items in my current wish-list include a Birkin 25 in Bambou. Casual. This has been on my wish-list for years, and was the Hermes Birkin I thought I would go for even before black. I consider this, and am likely the only person in the world to say this, my Type-O-Green-Birkin. Ah, my worlds colliding. Currently updating Depop to fulfil this desire.

I’ve recently discovered the jewellery brand Luna Skye – another female run independent – I swear, it’s like they find me as well as me finding them. The Diamond Bubble Initials on chain is right up there…and this Coiled Snake? Obsessed.

Beauty wise, it’s time for a top-up of Noir 29 from Le Labo. With bergamot, fig & cedar wood, it is perfection for this time of year. I’m proudly working with Cult Beauty this month, with my selects here that can get you 25% off until Nov 22nd. The code SAMMICB will also get you 20% off most other items. Whilst I’m on beauty, I must shout-out to these new favs: the Byoma Lip Mask: I’ve been applying this every night just before bed & it’s absolutely divine for maintaining soft & supple lips. A new-in fav is this Pat McGrath palette – the pigment & colours are just unreal.

Extra note-able mentions of a few covetable items [some with codes atm]:

Vivienne Westwood Bea Cardigan: 25% off with code SAVE25

Norma Kamali Red Turtleneck Dress: currently 30% off

Rebecca Vallance Elsie Dress: currently 30% off

Wolford Leopard Tights

R13 Trailblazer Pink Boots

Free People Lady Lux Layering Top

wishing you all an excellent weekend, much love

Eeee outfit blog post…I’ve never ran to a post so quick! First off the outfit you wore to London is one of me new favourite structured chill day looks I’ve seen, the black dress with the hoodie giving the ultimate cosy vibes and then with the coolest jacket on top!! And ofc you cannot go wrong with a band tee look (or normally a horror movie vibed shirt for me🙈🖤) that denim jacket is soo beautiful with that look as well, and the way I’ve had that jellycat skeleton key ring on my wishlist for so long! This time of… Read more »

I doubt I’ll ever be a Birkin owner but bambu would be my choice too, I have a mulberry lily re edition in lawn green and it makes me so happy. Was my 30th birthday present from my husband 💚 Forever admiring your style and confidence 🖤

I mean, the Birkin is beyond aspirational for me, every time I see it in an outfit my heart skips a beat. Lovely to see you writing again, I know things got busy but it is lovely to have these moments. Also, love the new ‘Sami’, it’s a bit more personal. Hope you’re starting to heal xx
